The Anthony Miekeco Penny Scholarship
This year we were able to present the inaugural Anthony Miekeco Penny Scholarship. Although we all lost Penny tragically, he’s still with us in our hearts and we hope this scholarship will always keep him with us. Although Penny had a quiet air to him, as you got to know him you realized he was a force for hope, compassion, and inspiration to make our community better. Although he seemed quiet, over time you realized he was just gaining his voice.
When we were looking back thinking about how we honor him we realized this scholarship was the way to do it, because he embodies what we want to be and what we look for in architectural candidates that will come work for us. He embodies passion for design. He embodies the belief that we can make our community better and we can help people from all walks of life. We try and keep that in mind for us but that’s who we want to join us and who we want to replace us in this profession. Let’s do that together.
Congratulations to the 2024 Anthony Penny Scholarship Winner!
